International students who have been graduated from one of the designated universities/colleges in Canada can apply for Permanent Residency through different streams of immigration, such as Express Entry or PNP’s. Every province has its own criteria.
Atlantic Immigration Pilot:
One of the new programs is “The Atlantic Immigration Pilot” program. In this program, the Atlantic provincial government will choose immigrants according to the needs of the province. Atlantic provinces are New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
Eligibility requirements for this program include; having a permanent full-time job offer, Credentials from a designated school for a minimum of 2 years post-secondary in Canada, having level 4 in the Canadian Language Benchmark.
In BC we have two programs;
EEBC (Express Entry BC) – International Graduate
Recent graduates from an eligible Canadian university or college can apply for permanent residency through this program if they have accepted a full-time, indeterminate job offer from a B.C. employer. Applicant obtains point in order to be nominated through BC PNP stream.
EEBC- International Post-Graduate
Applicants who have received a graduate degree in the sciences from an eligible B.C. institution mainly from technology, health care, and applied sciences sectors are encouraged to apply. To meet the minimum criteria in order to apply, the applicant must have an Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code from the IRCC Express Entry system. Applicant must have graduated in the last three years with a master’s or doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in one of the below-mentioned fields:
- agriculture
- biological and biomedical sciences
- computer and information sciences and support services
- engineering
- engineering technology
- health professions and related clinical sciences
- mathematics and statistics
- natural resources conservation and research
- physical sciences
Ontario International Graduates also has two different programs including:
- OINP Masters Graduate Stream
- Ph.D. Graduate Stream
