If you plan to travel to Canada, you need a valid visitor visa or a valid eTA. It all depends on what kind of travel document or Passport you are going to travel with and the country that issued your passport.
The applicant needs to have the below-mentioned qualifications in order to apply for a visitor visa;
– Valid Passport or Travel Document
– Proof of having a job or business in the original country
– Proof of having enough money to cover all expenses involved
– Enough ties to the original country
– Invitation Letter from a relative, family member, friend, etc.
– Previous travels especially to European Countries
A visitor visa can be issued for one time or multiple travels. Once the applicant is in Canada can stay for 6 months. In order to stay longer can only send the application to extend for another 6 months.

Fully vaccinated foreign nationals may be allowed to enter Canada for discretionary travel on the following dates if they meet specific criteria:
Effective August 9: American citizens and permanent residents of the United States, who currently reside in the United States, who meet specific criteria to qualify as fully vaccinated
September 7 (intended start date): All other foreign nationals who qualify as fully vaccinated
The 3-night hotel stopover requirement will be eliminated for all travelers arriving by air after 12:01 A.M. EDT on August 9.
Another type of visa is Super Visa which is for parents and grandparents to visit their children or grandchildren in Canada. This type of visa needs travel insurance issued in Canada to support their visit. Super Visa is valid for 10 years and the visitor can stay up to 24 months without the need to apply for an extension of their visit.
